Installation of Kota Stone: Horizontal as Flooring and vertical as wall surfaces

Kota limestone can be installed anywhere including kitchen, bathroom, powder room, guest room. You can mix kota stone also with other stones like Granites, White Makrana Marble, Quartz, anything that stand out from the room existing colors. You can also use kota stone as wall cladding. Please always remember kota stone is never found in Black color. But you can use Kadappa Black that also looks like kota stone. There so many interior designers and bloggers who mistakenly use Kadappa Black Limestone instead of Kota Stone. 

After the levelling floor surface, apply a 15–22 mm thick base of cement slurry in the following proportions: 1:4 (1 part cement and 4 parts of Banas river sand). You do not any waterproofing compound as kota stone itself a waterproof stone.

• Place Kota Stone tiles over the cement mortar you just spread. You can use flooring tile spacer as per your design. Generally flooring experts suggest 3mm tile spacers made with plastic or silicon.

• To fill the gaps please use waterproofing compound  with white cement or floor grout.

• Now your flooring is almost ready. Wait two days to dry the floor.

• After two days you can walk on it. So clean surface, remove extra grout or dust.
